MLP FiM - Sylva the Donkey

Phew, this took me a couple hours to finish. I dislike drawing outlines but I wanted to make it look closer to the Friendship is Magic style. I also tried to draw the eyes in the style of FiM. I used Google image search for help to have donkey pictures as a reference, and I also had a couple Google pictures of Twilight and Pinkie Pie up so I could have a reference for the FiM eye style. At first I drew the way I normally draw eyes (they're a lot smaller than the FiM style) but it didn't look right so I decided to try drawing eyes in the style of the show.

Lately I've wanted to draw my own original character, instead of using a Pony Maker, even though I'm awful at drawing hoofed animals. At first I wanted to draw an Earth pony, knowing I would be a pathetic Pegasus on account of my fear of heights and a poor unicorn because they require a certain amount of mental prowess in order to use magic. Later on though I decided to not make myself anything. Instead I created an original character that was a donkey. I think they're cute, sweet and strong animals. Also, since it doesn't seem that any animals besides ponies can get Cutie Marks, I didn't have to go through a huge soul-search so that I could pick which one suited her, though she of course would still have her own special talents and such. Though I wanted Sylva to represent me a bit, I gave her a different name than mine.
