Black and Red Ant

I remember seeing ants this big when I was six. It was after my family came home from a vacation. The cats had gotten into the food cupboard and had scattered food everywhere, thus attracting the ants. I was really scared of them--they were even bigger than the ant in the picture--but my grandpa took care of the ants and I felt better. I did have a slight phobia of them from then on though.
